Social Studies Nathan Coombes

This is my 20th year in education and I began teaching at Ankeny in 2011 after having taught in three other school districts in Missouri and Nebraska. I have instructed students from Kindergarten to 12th Grade in multiple areas, including: Physical Education, Health, American Government, US, World History and Special Education.  I got my undergraduate degree from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, MO and my Masters degree in Sports and Business Administration  from Central Missouri State University in Warnesburg, MO. I received my Special Education endorsement at the masters level from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.  I am also the Middle School and High School Quiz Bowl coach in which we have been very successful winning 17 State Titles and one National Academic Championship at the Middle School level and a National runner up at the High School level. I was named the Iowa Coach of the year in 2018.
