Assistant Principal Nick Nelson

My name is Nick Nelson.  I began teaching at Ankeny high school in 2013.  I am one of the Student Behavioral Support Specialists in the building.  Prior to being the Student Behavioral Support Specialist, I taught US History and Government at Ankeny High School from 2013-2021. Prior to teaching in Ankeny, I taught in Oklahoma for a year and Texas for four years.

I studied social studies education at the University of Northern Iowa, where I received my Bachelor’s degree and played football from 2004-2009.  I received my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Drake University in 2017.  I received my Administrator license from Drake University in 2021.
