Assistant Principal Nick Nelson

My name is Nick Nelson.  I began teaching at Ankeny high school in 2013, where I taught US History and Government.  I currently serve as one of the Assistant Principals at Ankeny high school.  Prior to teaching in Ankeny, I taught in Oklahoma for a year and Texas for four years.

I studied social studies education at the University of Northern Iowa, where I received my Bachelor’s degree and played football from 2004-2009.  I received my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Drake University in 2017.  I received my Administrator license from Drake University in 2021.
