Instrumental Music Pam Hayden

My name is Pam Hayden and I teach 6th and 7th grade band at Parkview Middle School, including 6/7 Concert Bands, 7th grade Jazz Band, and lessons for all instruments.    in addition, I  teach primarily woodwind lessons to students in Ankeny’s 6-12 south feeder program at Southview and Ankeny High School.  I also help out with the Ankeny High School Marching Band and accompany students each year at Perry Band Olympics.  I am a clarinet player, but enjoying teaching all of the instruments.

I attended Morningside College and received a degree in Music Education.  Recently I earned a  Master of Teaching  Degree with an emphasis in Music from Morningside College.  I previously taught in the communities of Graettinger,  Boone, and Vinton.   I have taught in Ankeny for 12 years, and have spent the last 8 years at Parkview.

I love teaching music, and enjoy seeing the growth in student maturity and skills as they study a musical instrument.
