ML- French Steffanie Elkin

Bonjour! I am Miss Elkin and I absolutely love my job as a 6th and 7th grade French teacher at Parkview! I love learning alongside students and encouraging others to be the best versions of themselves. I enjoy meeting students where they are at in their academic, social, and emotional learning while still holding high expectations to help all students find personal success at Parkview and beyond.

I became interested in French through my love of dance. I enjoyed learning the French terms in ballet, studied French in high school, traveled to France, and chose to continue my studies in college. I studied French and Elementary Education at Simpson College and earned my Master’s in Professional Development and Teacher Effectiveness from Drake University.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, dancing, biking, picnicking, going on walks, and cheering on the Cyclones.
