Construction Update: Abbie Grove

4th and 5th grade wing

- Structural steel is complete and exterior metal panels and brick are in progress
- Interior framing has started in the cafeteria and 4/5 wing
- Plumbing, mechanical, electrical and fire sprinkler rough ins are in progress in the cafeteria, kitchen, gym, main mechanical room, and 4/5 wing
- Floor slabs are being poured as the ground is being thawed and dried out
- By March the majority of the building will have temporary heat running and windows will begin to be installed in the 4/5 wing. Brick will also be complete around the kitchen/cafeteria/gym area as well as the 4/5 wing and will be getting started on the K/1 & admin wing.
Abbie Grove Elementary School is set to open in the Fall of 2024 and will be the sixth elementary school in the north feeder for the district.
