Ankeny High School’s Knowledge Bowl Team Clinches Third Consecutive State Championship Victory

Ankeny High School’s Knowledge Bowl team secures their third consecutive State Championship win. The event was held October 19 at DMACC in Ankeny, Iowa, where these remarkable students showcased their exceptional knowledge. The team, led by Coach Nathan Coombes, consists of the brilliant state champions: Josh Dahlheimer, Eli Pattee, Jason Dennis, Nolan Gentry, and Carter Ross.

Knowledge Bowl competitions challenge participants with a wide range of questions spanning history, geography, science, health, english, mathematics, and more. Ankeny High School emerged victorious, outclassing competitors from Pella and Des Moines Christian School, thus clinching the Iowa State Knowledge Bowl Championship.

Coach Coombes, filled with pride and admiration, lauded the students for their unwavering commitment to learning and competing. He expressed, “It’s truly amazing and inspiring to witness the dedication and enthusiasm these students bring to the table. I’m exceptionally proud of these young talents for clinching the State Knowledge Bowl Championship for the third consecutive year.”
