Team 5126, known as DICE, emerged as one of the standout performers of the event. Their dedication and hard work paid off as they clinched multiple accolades, including 3rd place Inspire and 1st place Motivate. Additionally, they distinguished themselves by finishing as the Finalist Alliance Captain, securing their passage to the highly anticipated State competition scheduled in Coralville on March 1-2. The team’s exceptional performance not only showcased their technical prowess but also their ability to inspire and motivate others, truly embodying the spirit of FIRST® Robotics.

Equally deserving of recognition is Team 21746, affectionately named CADapillars, a team in only its second year of existence. Despite their relative newcomer status, they made a significant impact by securing 2nd place in the Motivate category, marking a remarkable milestone in their journey. This achievement is a testament to their growth, determination, and collaborative spirit, setting a promising trajectory for their future endeavors in robotics.

Behind the success of these talented teams are the dedicated mentors and coaches, Jen Poole and Scott Gayer. Their guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support have played a pivotal role in nurturing the skills and confidence of the team members. Their pride in the accomplishments of both DICE and CADapillars is palpable and well-deserved, reflecting the strong bond and sense of community within the Ankeny Robotics program.

As the teams gear up for the State competition, the entire Ankeny community stands behind them, cheering them on every step of the way. Their achievements not only exemplify excellence in STEM education but also serve as an inspiration to aspiring young innovators everywhere. With their determination and ingenuity, the future of robotics in Ankeny looks brighter than ever.
