Ankeny High School Hosts Spectacular West Central Track & Field Meet!

On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, Ankeny High School was buzzing with excitement as host to the West Central Track & Field Meet. The event showcased a thrilling lineup of competitions including the 1500M run, high jump, 100M dash, softball throw, unified relays, shot put, mini javelin, wheelchair races, and tennis.

What made this event truly remarkable was the incredible turnout of 712 athletes from 45 schools, collectively organized into 51 groups. Amidst the spirited atmosphere, athletes from diverse backgrounds and abilities came together to participate in the Special Olympics, exemplifying the power of unity and sportsmanship.

Ankeny High School takes great pride in fostering an inclusive environment where all athletes can showcase their talents and compete with passion and determination.
