Ankeny high schoolers attend first-ever Casey’s Business Camp

Seventeen ambitious high schoolers from AHS and ACHS recently attended the first-ever Casey’s Business Camp, a three-day event geared towards giving students a glimpse into the ins and outs of a large company’s operations.

Participants visited a “Mock Store” to gain insight into tactics for product placement, promotions and seasonal displays, and vendor contracts. The students were also able to visit the Supply Chain Department, Distribution Center, Continuous Improvement Department, and Fuel Department.

With this newfound knowledge, the students enthusiastically embraced the opportunity to develop entrepreneurial skills and inspire future career aspirations.
