Welcome new ACSD staff!

We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to the newest members of our Ankeny School District family! This week, new teachers and social workers attended an orientation program lead by Justin Herrick, District Mentoring Specialist and District Mentoring Coaches Kim Haack and Elise Jessen, giving them a fantastic start to the upcoming school year.

During the orientation, our fresh faces got the chance to connect with their mentors – experienced educators who will be their guiding stars throughout their journey at ACSD. 

Our new teachers also had the privilege of hearing from two esteemed local organizations – the Ankeny Chamber and the Parks and Recreation team. The Ankeny Chamber provided valuable insights into the vibrant local business community and emphasized the significance of collaboration between schools and the broader community.

The Parks and Recreation team showcased the various recreational facilities and programs available to both teachers and students alike. 

Wishing our new staff members an inspiring, fulfilling, and successful school year ahead! Their passion and dedication will undoubtedly make a positive impact on the lives of our students.
