Jaecee Hall, a former Ankeny Centennial student and current University of Iowa student-athlete, has become a beacon of inspiration for women worldwide through her transformative journey from high school soccer to college rowing. After facing a significant injury during her sophomore year of high school, Jaecee redirected her passion for sports and discovered a new love in rowing while attending the University of Iowa.
Not content with just overcoming her personal challenges, Jaecee went on to start her own business, “Unbreakable Female Athlete,” aimed at empowering women athletes and non-athletes alike. The business has gained widespread acclaim for its mission to inspire women from all corners of the globe.
In a candid interview, Jaecee addresses the systemic barriers that women face in sports, shedding light on the challenges of breaking through the gender bias. She highlights the disparities in women’s sports visibility and financial compensation, emphasizing that women’s contracts have been undervalued by a staggering 95%. She specifically mentions issues within the Women’s Super League (WSL) and advocates for increased representation and financial equity.

During a visit in the summer of 2022, she signed a contract with “Rivalkit,” a prominent rowing uniform clothing brand. Her roommate’s involvement with the Great Britain national team further enriched her exposure to the thriving rowing scene in the UK.
